This article explains what member data BNDRY imports from your membership management platform, what keeps syncing automatically afterwards, in which direction, and how often.
What's imported when a member is first added
When a member's record is first created in BNDRY, we pull across their full profile from your membership management platform — name, date of birth, gender, occupation, contact details (including email address and phone numbers), and any addresses on file, as well as their membership details.
This happens once, at the moment the record is created. It's a snapshot, not an ongoing sync — see the next section for what keeps updating after that.
New members added in your membership management platform are also created automatically as new entities in BNDRY.
What keeps syncing automatically after that
Six membership fields sync automatically, once a day, for every member record matched between your membership management platform and BNDRY:
- Member tier
- Member type
- Member expiry date
- Member status
- Member date last renewed
- Member date last updated
Residential addresses also sync automatically, once a day. A new address from your membership management platform is added to the member's address history in BNDRY — it doesn't overwrite or remove any existing address.
What doesn't keep syncing
Occupation, email address, phone numbers, and any other field outside the list above keep whatever value they had when the member's record was created in BNDRY. If you update one of those fields in your membership management platform afterwards, the change stays there — it doesn't flow through to BNDRY. Anything you review or update directly in BNDRY outside of the fields above is also never touched by the sync.
We limit the daily sync to those fields deliberately. Information held in BNDRY has often been through our verification checks and can be relied on. Fields like name, occupation and email in your membership management platform can be entered directly by members and aren't verified, so an automatic overwrite could replace a trusted BNDRY value with an unverified one. This matters most for identity fields — if BNDRY has verified a member's true legal name and your membership management platform holds an alias or nickname, an automatic overwrite could replace the verified name and put PEP and sanctions screening results at risk.
Sync direction
The sync only runs one way: from your membership management platform into BNDRY. Your membership management platform is treated as the source of truth for the fields listed above.
Updates made directly in the BNDRY portal are never sent back to your membership management platform, and never will be — BNDRY holds compliance and identity information that can't be pushed into a gaming system, for both privacy and data-sharing reasons.
How often it runs
The sync runs automatically once a day, overnight. It isn't real-time — a change made in your membership management platform typically appears in BNDRY the following day.
